Acceptable Use Policy

Effective September 13, 2026

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses JobLit: Account Owners, admins and crew members. Account Owners are responsible for making sure the people they invite follow it.

1. You may not use the Service to

Break the law or deceive people

  • engage in, promote or facilitate illegal activity;
  • create false or misleading financial or time records meant to defraud clients, workers, insurers, lenders, tax authorities or anyone else;
  • violate anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights.

Monitor people improperly

  • record the time or location of anyone who has not received the notice, or given the consent, that applicable law requires;
  • track anyone outside a genuine working relationship with you, such as a family member, partner or former employee;
  • use time or location records in any way the law prohibits, including to harass or discriminate.

Store information that doesn’t belong here

  • upload Social Security or other government ID numbers, full payment card or bank account numbers, passwords, or health, medical or biometric information. Receipt images that show only the last few digits of a card are fine.
  • upload personal information you have no right to share;
  • upload material that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing or hateful, or that sexually exploits minors. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities.

Attack or abuse the Service

  • upload viruses, malware or other harmful code;
  • probe, scan or test the Service for vulnerabilities, except as permitted by our security disclosure policy;
  • access, or try to access, another person’s account or workspace, or any data you are not authorized to see;
  • get around authentication, rate limits, plan limits or other security or usage controls;
  • overload, disrupt or interfere with the Service, including through denial-of-service attacks or excessive automated requests;
  • scrape the Service or access it by automated means, except through features we provide for that purpose.

Misuse your account or our product

  • share one person’s sign-in among several people, or create multiple Free workspaces for one business, to avoid plan limits;
  • send invitations or other messages through the Service to people who haven’t asked to join your workspace;
  • resell, sublicense, rent or white-label the Service without our written agreement;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract the source code of the Service, except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction;
  • use the Service, or information taken from it, to build a competing product.

2. Enforcement

If we believe this policy has been violated, we may remove or disable content, limit features, or suspend or terminate the accounts involved. We may also cooperate with law enforcement. Where practicable and lawful, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. For serious or repeated violations, we may act immediately.

3. Reporting a violation

To report abuse or content that breaks this policy, email legal@staging.expenseapp.example. To report a security vulnerability, email security@staging.expenseapp.example.
