Receipts in a few taps
Snap the receipt, pick the job, save. The amount, category, tags and photo stay together, and you can find them again by job, date or category.
Job costing for the trades
JobLit logs receipts, deposits and crew hours against the job they belong to — from your phone, on site, in a few taps. When it’s time to bill, the numbers are already there.

Why JobLit
01
A gas-station receipt in the truck door is a cost you’ll never bill for. Snap it the moment you pay and it’s filed under the job before you pull out of the lot.
02
Friday’s timesheet is a guess about Tuesday. Your crew clocks in on their own phones, and their hours roll into the job’s labor cost at the rate you set.
03
Most small shops find out a job lost money after it’s done. See what’s been spent, what’s come in and what’s left on every job while you can still do something about it.
Features
Made for the phone in your pocket on site, and for the desk at the end of the week.
Snap the receipt, pick the job, save. The amount, category, tags and photo stay together, and you can find them again by job, date or category.
Every expense, deposit, note and hour belongs to a job, and every job belongs to a client. Nothing is left floating around unfiled.
Log deposits and payments right next to what you spend. Each job shows spent, received and what’s left. Once it’s finished, it shows your profit or loss.
Your crew clocks in from their own phones. Hours roll into labor cost at each person’s rate. Tracking your own time is free.
Assign tasks to your crew. Write up each day’s work and file it under the day it happened, so the story of the job sits next to its numbers.
A month view of what happened on each day, plus a record of who changed what. Free keeps 30 days of history. Paid plans keep all of it.
Every plan gets an estimate of where this month’s spending will land. Pro projects where each active job will finish, and what it will make, against the estimate you set.
Download one job, or your whole account, as a spreadsheet with every receipt image included. Paid plans add a clean PDF summary for your client or your accountant.
Add it to your home screen and it opens like any other app. Big tap targets work with gloves on, and high contrast holds up in bright sun. Sign in with an email link, so there’s no password to forget.
Crew time tracking · Pro
Each person clocks in on their own phone and picks the job they’re on. You see who’s on the clock right now, and their hours land on the job at their rate, so labor shows up in the job’s costs alongside materials.

When a job wraps, or tax season comes around, download the whole thing: every expense, deposit, hour and note in one spreadsheet, with every receipt image beside it. Your data is never locked behind an upgrade.
How it works
Add the client and the job. That’s all the setup there is. Invite your crew by email when you’re ready.
Receipts, deposits, hours and notes get added by whoever is on site, from whatever phone they’re carrying.
Review by job, category or date, see profit or loss, and export the packet for your client or your accountant.

Who it’s for
JobLit is built for the small shop taking its next step: the owner-operator adding a first hire, the two-truck outfit juggling more jobs than a notebook can hold.
Free
You do the work, buy the materials and send the invoice. You need to know what each job really cost you without sitting down to do bookkeeping.
Pro
You’ve hired help and you’re running several jobs at once. You need your crew’s hours on the right jobs and a clear view of which jobs are paying.
Start with Essentials, then choose the crew size that fits. Every paid plan has a flat monthly price, with no per-seat charges.
Pricing
Three simple paid plans. No setup fees, no per-seat math, no contract.
For one person tracking their own jobs.
$0no time limit
For an owner who wants unlimited jobs and the complete picture.
$20per month
For a contractor adding a team and tracking labor costs.
$40per month
For a larger team that wants the same clear job costing.
$100per month
Prices are in USD and do not include applicable taxes. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel any time in the app and keep your paid plan until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Downgrading never deletes your data. See the Billing & Refund Policy and Terms of Service.
Our promises
Export everything on every plan, whenever you want. Getting your own data out will never cost you an upgrade.
A plan limit only stops you from adding the next thing. Nothing you already have is removed, hidden for good or held hostage.
We make our money from subscriptions. Your jobs, clients and crew are not a product for anyone else.
No analytics, no ad pixels and no tracking cookies. The only data we collect is what it takes to run the app.
FAQ
Yes. There’s no card to enter and no trial countdown. Free is a complete tool for one person for your first 3 jobs. After that, choose Essentials for unlimited solo jobs, or a crew plan if you need employees. Your first 3 jobs and everything in them stay yours either way.
No. JobLit runs in your phone’s web browser, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app. It works on iPhone, Android, tablets and computers.
No, it doesn’t follow anyone around. When a crew member clocks in or out, their phone’s location at that moment is saved with the time entry, but only if they’ve allowed location access. There’s no background tracking, and the clock still works if they say no.
If you employ people, you’re responsible for telling them about this and following local rules. Our Privacy Policy explains more.
You keep your paid plan until the end of the period you’ve paid for. After that, your account moves to Free and nothing is deleted. Anything over the Free limits stays where it is. You just can’t add more until you’re back under the limit or upgrade again.
Yes, on every plan. Download a spreadsheet of your records with every receipt image included, for one job or for your whole account.
No. JobLit is a field tool for tracking job costs. It doesn’t file taxes, run payroll or replace your accountant. What it does is give them clean, organized records to work from.
You invite them by email. They sign in with a link sent to their inbox, so there are no passwords to share or reset. Each person sees only what their role allows.
All connections are encrypted. Sign-in links work once and expire after 15 minutes, and you can sign out of every device at once. Payments go through Stripe, so we never see your card number. Our Security page has the details.
Start tracking it now. It’s free, and you won’t need a card.
